Warning: Emails misusing the name of Cullimore Dutton Solicitors Limited

WhatsApp messages have been sent misusing the name of Cullimore Dutton Solicitors Limited in relation to a conveyancing transaction.

What is the scam?

The SRA has been informed that a member of the public has received WhatsApp messages from a 'Felicia Cullimore' of Cullimore Dutton Solicitors Limited in relation to a conveyancing transaction.

The WhatsApp messages asked the recipient to pay a £400 'fee' for their conveyancing transaction to an account.

The WhatsApp messages were sent from the contact number '+447781601334'.

The SRA does not authorise or regulate a solicitor named 'Felicia Cullimore'.

Any business or transaction through the above contact number or 'Felicia Cullimore' is not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Cullimore Dutton Solicitors Limited (SRA ID 623715).

The genuine firm of solicitors Cullimore Dutton Solicitors Limited have confirmed that they do not have any genuine connection to the WhatsApp messages referred to in the above alert.

What should I do?
