Warning: Emails and websites misusing the name of Warcup Law Firm Limited

Websites have been created, and emails have been sent misusing the name and details of Warcup Law Firm Limited.
What is the scam?
The SRA has been made aware that bogus websites, 'www.warcuplaw.co.uk', and 'www.warcuplaw.com', have been created and are misusing the name of a genuine firm of solicitors (see details below).
One of the bogus websites lists a number of individuals who are said to be 'legal advisers' who are claiming work at the firm.
The bogus website www.warcuplaw.com also misuses the SRA ID and the postal address of the genuine firm. It also provides an email address of 'info@warcuplaw.com' and contact numbers +41 (77) 906 5037, +420 (735) 508 698, and +44 (7466) 997279 all which are believed to be bogus.
Members of the public have also reported receiving emails from a bogus email address falsely claiming to be from the same genuine firm. The senders of the emails falsely claim to be 'financial lawyers' and 'lead attorneys' at the genuine firm and purport to offer services in connection with the recovery of funds lost via fraudulent activities.
The emails which the SRA has seen have been sent from the following email addresses:

- kevinreinvald@warcuplaw.co.uk
- davidzegna@warcuplaw.co.uk
The emails also provide two postal addresses of '47 Badenerstrasse, 8004 Zurich, Switzerland' and '2 Nasmyth Road South, Hillington Park, Glasgow G52 4RE'.
Any business or transactions through the email addresses, postal addresses, contact numbers and websites mentioned above are not undertaken by any individual or firm authorised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Warcup Law Firm Limited (SRA number 573886) who are located at Lloyds Bank Chambers, 24 Bondgate, Within, Alnwick, NE66 1TD. The firm's genuine email address is info@warcuplawfirm.co.uk and their contact number is 01665 606 100.
The genuine firm Warcup Law Firm Limited has confirmed that it does not employ any individuals by the names of John Morgan, Kevin Reinvald or David Zegna.
What should I do?
When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
